About Me
Hi! I'm Milan,
I'm a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Oxford reading Human Sciences, and would love to help you improve your confidence, ability and exam results!
I have a passion for interdisciplinary learning and love to explore complex scenarios which require knowledge of both the social and natural sciences. I love studying the human stories that arise in Geography and applying my biological and mathematical knowledge to form unique perspectives. Tutoring allows me to spread this curiosity to as many young people as possible.
I volunteer at a youth charity in my local area, where I lead a team of young people to provide bi-weekly activity evenings to children in the area. Through this role, I have worked with a diverse range of children with a diverse set of needs. I have an ongoing role mentoring, tutoring and assisting my volunteers with school, public examinations, and post-16 options.
Over the past year, I have built up extensive experience tutoring and working with young people. I have tutored over 20 students, achieving excellent results across the board. I had eight students in the 2023 exams cohort who have achieved multi-grade improvements between their mocks and their final exam results.

Teaching Style
I strive to engage that innate curiosity present in every student to drive motivation and build a sense of accomplishment.
I encourage deep understanding which provides flexibility in overcoming the wide range of challenges posed by examinations.
I have found that many students struggle with exam technique and organising their thoughts in exam format. It is all too easy to have a solid grasp of the content but falter in the exam due to specific mark schemes and misunderstanding the asks of the paper.
I also strongly encourage students to explore their subject outside of school and our lessons, I provide recommended reading and articles following each lesson to ensure a level of extracurricular knowledge above that of other students.
Each student is different, and my teaching recognises this.
